One of the unique things about the Verde Valley Wine Festival is that we rely on volunteers from the local community to help us run the event. Since the very first year we held the event, people have answered the call and donated a few hours of their time to ensure that the Festival runs smoothly. We appreciate our volunteers because we know they have many other choices where they could donate their time!
Now in our fifth year, event organizers are excited to announce that this year’s Verde Valley Wine Festival will be in the Cottonwood Old Town Activity Park on Saturday, April 30th from noon – 5 PM. VIP attendees will receive early admission at 11 AM as part of their VIP Experience.

- Shuttle driving (from overflow parking area to the Old Town Activity Park)
- Ticket selling
- Ticket scanning
- Wristband application
- Wine glass distribution
- General information
- Merchandise tent
- Information tent
- Ice distribution
- Runner/floater
- Trash collection
- Festival tear-down
Volunteers must be available on Saturday, April 30th for 4-hour shifts from 9AM-1:00PM, Noon-4PM, 3PM-7PM. Your assigned tasks will be sent to you closer to the event.
Along with our endless gratitude, Festival volunteers also receive a keepsake festival shirt designed just for volunteers, a festival wine glass, a wrist band, and bragging rights that you helped with the best wine festival in Arizona! Volunteers working Saturday’s final shift from 3-7PM will receive a bonus gift at the end of their shift.
If Saturday won’t work for you, we also have our Friday Pre-Festival Kickoff, which is a dinner and live auction at the Cottonwood Community Clubhouse on Friday, April 29. Dinner volunteers will be asked to clear dishes and stack them for removal by the rental company. This may require some bending and lifting of heavy items up to 30 pounds. You will also offer guest assistance as needed. This is a hard job, but you get the reward of attending the full festival the next day!
